On 4 March 1944, American bombers crossed a line that many believed should never be crossed. Their target was Berlin – the heart of Hitler’s Third Reich.
This is the story of the first American daylight bombing raid on the German capital, led by the 95th Bomb Group – the only Eighth Air Force Bomb Group to receive the Distinguished Unit Citation three times.
Travelling to Horham in Suffolk, we explore the wartime home of the 95th Bomb Group, visiting the famous Red Feather Club at Horham, the Blue Lounge dance hall, Brad’s Bar and the group’s outstanding museum.
